This week was science week in St Marys SNS. We have been experimenting all week. Our Junior Einstein’s Science workshop provided great ideas for experiments we could try at home. Today the children in 4th class presented their hard work to various classes around the school. The standard of the experiments was excellent. The children were required to talk about the science behind what they were demonstrating. We had everything from making a volcano erupt, lava lamps, showing the strength of egg shells, candles sucking up water into a glass to making a simple fire extinguisher, how to make ooblec, sucking an egg into a jar without touching it and showing a tornado in a bottle. Well done to everyone who worked hard and presented to the school today. Have a look at some of our experiments.
