School Trips

Visit to the Dail
The three 6th classes visited thr Dail during the Summer term. We were given a tour of the building and we saw lots of famous politicians. Some of the TD's asked where we were from and answered some of our questions. It was a great trip.

Theatre Trip
What has become our annual outing to the cinema will now

become a trip to the Theatre this year. It is scheduled to

take place during the week beginning December 20th, 2010

when almost 250 pupils will set off for the Square, Tallaght.

We are all looking forward to a great day out.

Many thanks to Gina Sheward for organising the whole day.

Blackhill

Ms Callanan's, Ms. Nelson's and Ms Sheridan's classes visited Blackhill in June.  We were given maps and a list of items to find. The list contained bog cotton, heather, gorse, rocks etc. At the top we stopped for lunch and took photographs. After lunch we went to look at the memorial stone and remembered the four men that had crashed there in 1942. Mr McCorristine told us all about it. Mr Billy Hamilton came into the school and told us about the crash and showed us a video and some pictures of the funeral.

Baltinglass Adventure Centre

On the 16th June 2010 we had our school tour. We left school at 8.30am to go to Baltinglass Outdoor Adventure Centre. When we got there we were split into three groups. We did kayaking, aerchery, absailing and wall climbing. We were provided with food. We had chips, beans and sausages. We also did orienteering in a nearby forest. We got a small bus to the forest. We left Baltinglass at 4.30pm and we got back to school at 5.00pm. It was the best tour ever.
